HE IS RISEN!

Recently, a new book has been touted as one which will rock the foundations of Christianity. It is actually an old lie in a new ‘dust jacket.’ These kinds of assaults upon the person of Christ seem to come regularly as the time for the annual observance of the resurrection of Christ nears.
God’s people need have no fear of such satanic activities for,

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Acts 1:3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

How important is the resurrection of Christ to us?
1 Cor 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
1 Cor 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

1 Cor 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
1 Cor 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
1 Cor 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1 Cor 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
1 Cor 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

When Christ came forth from the tomb He had overcome death and the powers of Hell and the grave. When the stone had been rolled away, it showed that the power of governmental authority as represented by the seal, was nothing before God. It demonstrated that the world’s greatest military might as represented by the Roman soldiers, was powerless and that the prevailing religious authorities were flailing in unbelief and error.
Since none could put Christ back in the tomb, they determined that the only thing left for them to do was to lie about it!

Mat 28:11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
Mat 28:12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
Mat 28:13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
Mat 28:14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
Mat 28:15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Satan is well aware of the fact that all the hopes of God’s people rest upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since he was powerless to stop it then and still can’t put Christ back into the tomb, he does the only thing his nature will permit; He lies about it!
John 8:44 He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
The chief Priests paid the soldiers to tell the first lie, "His disciples stole his body while we slept". Since that time, others have come up with many deceitful tales to try to explain away the greatest manifestation of God’s power ever seen; The resurrection of our Lord.
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

In one such fantasy, the ‘vinegar and gall’ became a narcotic that merely put him into a coma. In others, he came forth from the grave as a ghost.
Now we are once again confronted with an abominable flight of imagination: One of Satan’s Minions claims to have found the bones of Jesus and his family!

My first inclination, upon hearing this, was to write a scathing rebuke giving all the reasons why the lie should be rejected.
Then I remembered these passages;
Prov 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Prov 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

To deny the resurrection is to deny that Christ is God and to deny God, is the act of a fool.
Psa 53:1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

It is NOT the responsibility of God’s people to answer fools!
He is perfectly capable of speaking for Himself and has done so with enough clarity, that those who presume to argue with Him will be forced to admit the righteousness of their own condemnation in the Day of Judgment.

Phil 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Phil 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

It is our job to preach the Gospel of the Death, Burial and Resurrection, for that alone is the power of God unto salvation.
What if some believe Satan’s lies?
2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I have no idea whose bones were dug up, but I KNOW they were not the bones of my savior, for he still had them after the resurrection.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
This is the body that now sits at the right hand of the Father and is the one He will have when I meet Him in the air.
Mat 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Mat 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
